About Us
The Christopher B. Elser Memorial Fund is one of more than 500 different charitable funds administered by the Baltimore Community Foundation, which raises, manages, and distributes funds for charitable purposes in the Baltimore region. BCF helps all kinds of people and organizations carry out their individual charitable plans, with the common goal of improving the quality of life in the greater Baltimore region, today and for generations to come.
The purpose of the Christopher B. Elser fund is twofold; to memorialize Chris in a way that honors his memory, and to take steps to prevent future acts of violence like the one that cost Chris his life. In keeping with these goals we have partnered with the Baltimore Community Foundation, a respected Baltimore nonprofit organization, to support programs that benefit the youth of Baltimore. In doing so we wish to provide hope and guidance to children and teens that embody Chris' unfulfilled potential. The fund will support programs that offer youth's constructive outlets within their community.
Chris' fund would not be possible without the help and support of his friends and family. He is honored by the love and dedication of those people he surrounded himself with.
